Sole Correctors, do they work?

in Actifit3 months ago

Recently, the unseen weight (extra bags to carry) has been stressing on both my knees a bit too much of late.

However as age starts to increase, the knees will start to cave into a wrong direction, with improper shoes to improper posture, every one of this take into consideration of causing more knee deformation along the way.

Recently I started using this "sole corrector" with the realisation that the sole of my shoe has always had uneven "corrosion", I have decided to give this a go and try and see if there are some differences on my knees and calves

The good thing about these "sole correctors" is that it is transferable from one shoe to another; and if there's more than one pair of shoes all I need to do is diligently change to the shoe I need to wear.

Unfortunately, these won't work well with sandals because it is not skin coloured neither do they have fasteners. It will also look ugly if exposed.

How was the experience?

walked half a mile to get my car parked away from the hospital

To be honest, there are differences when walking especially you are walking distances.

If a proper covered shoe is worn, it does correct even the posture of walking; however if the shoe is too loose, it is a nightmare to walk with it as there are too much friction and it tires the feet and the calves a lot.

As the position of the sole corrected the calves' muscles are also "stretched" in a different way .

So far I do not have any problem with covered shoes as high up to the anckle; however, an old pair of socks that are too slippery to wear also poses problems.

Overall verdict?

Still worth trying out because it is definitely adjusting my knees and often times if I am not overly exerting my knees there's less pain.

How about you? Would you give this a try?

It cost less than $2 USD.

Do share your thoughts and experiences too if you have tried these before. Would love to hear other people's opinion.

Walking

Sort:

Interesting I always wear down the soles of my shoes in a weird way Maybe I should look into these

Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk and have a great day

Give it a go, definitely especially if you notice your knees are not in line when place tightly together (like in the graph)

Ohh my knees are sure out of line ever since I smashed them when I 18, was told I needed surgery but put it off now for over 45 yeears LOL

Oh my...! Hopefully you are not getting too much pain! 😯

mostly know If I kepe getting out regularly for walks, not to much pain, in winter it gets worse

after readign your post i looked at my three pairs of shoes I regularly wear and the heels on one side of all three are worn down on one side time to get some new shoes

Maybe should look into sole correcting shoes too instead of just these type of correctors

I did a few years back had shoes made to fit, but honestly I felt worse with them I guess i have got used to my strange feet LOL

Yes. Readjusting is never comfortable, because your posture is all out. 😅
