Tried N Tested: Laundry Dryer Balls.Do they work? 🧺

in Actifit8 months ago

Everyone always tries to be an eco enthusiast or an eco warrior when it comes to doing things in an eco-friendly way.

I personally, for one, was to try and see if I can save cost along the long run. 😅

I still try to recycle everything, but not as crazy as before, being more practical that is...

Furthermore, I have been told substances like fabric softeners might not only cause harm for the environment, it also turn clothes more flammable? 😳

I do hope that someone can confirm this for me...

That's why I have decided to give this a try, being told that these not only promote faster drying time in the dryer, but it will help further soften the clothes during drying.

Apparently this has been a norm in the UK for several years. 🤔

They are made out of wool material (?) and my colleague even suggested to me to use some essential oil so that my clothes will smell great.

That was what she did when she was in UK.

I already have these silicon balls for washing to help wash more thoroughly without too much soap, so with the dryer balls, it is now a complete set for a more effective laundry work because a weekly pile for 3 adults requires as much help as possible.

Also with the most recent discovery of mini laundry packs (that supposedly have a balance of wash, softener, and anti bacteria detergent inside, though every one could cost around 0.1 HIVE to 0.5 HIVE each depending on the brand. A large load could require around 3 of these with the help of those silicone balls. I might get another 3 more so that I can wash even cleaner or when I need to load to both washers.

So how was the verdict for the Dryer Balls?

I can't be a 100% certain, but I do realise that my clothes were softer and smoother when I take them out to fold from the dryer 🤔

This could be a significant breakthrough of it really works. So far, I only use them twice, but the result is pretty much the same

I might get bigger ones to add I to the mix especially for bedsheets and blankets / comforters. Then perhaps I may be able to compare the difference.

One thing for sure my clothes are 99% dried with the same dryer load compared to not using them where sometimes I get around 95% dried clothes.

How about you?

Do you use such "laundry aid"?
Would love to hear your experience
