I humbly welcome you to my actifit report for Thursday 28th September, 2023.
The friendly weather on this day is so enjoyable, no rain, no much sun.
Cool, calm and moderate if you ask me.
So, it's a good day.
Which I quickly washed some few clothes.
Did other house chores.
Completed some activities for the day.
It's Thursday and time for midweek service.
Which is in the evening by 5pm.
As I was walking to church, I heard a loud music playing and people cheering.
I wondered what it was, ๐๐ I kept my camera open.
And there they are๐
, it's the students of university of calabar celebrating carnival day as part of the students week celebration.
They were so colorful and dancing happily.
Seeing this made me realize that I never participated in any students week activity.
I always travel home or have a bunch of assignments or presentations to prepare before the end of the students week.
My department then didn't encourage much social activities, what a life.
Watching this for few minutes, I didn't really miss much.
And if I really wanted to participate I could have.
Truth is, I am not really a social type.
So, scrap the blame on my department.
It's all on me.
They were walking and dancing in two groups.
Each group playing different song, with different loud speaker (different DJ)๐
The city of calabar is known for entertainment, carnival.... I give it to them...they love it.
Any small thing turns to celebration.... Carnival.... enjoyment....name it.
So, their students won't be any different.
I walked to church few minutes late because of the students week carnival ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
I am back to Christ, the above was for your viewing pleasure ๐
Now I want to share the word with you, at least I didn't miss that part.
My late coming missed opening prayers, praise and worship.
Alright the message.....
Message : The supernatural life
We started with reading Jeremiah 30:17.
God is the restorer of health.
Being born again grants you everlasting life. Which is the life of God(2 Corinthians 4vs18).
The life of God is immune to sickness and diseases (3 John 1:2).
Supernatural life cannot be terminated.
How to live the supernatural life
A. Study God's word daily ( proverbs 4:20-22).
Feed on the word of God daily in other to live a healthy life.
Reading the bible daily makes one not to be sick.
(Psalm 119:30, 1 John 1:5, John 1:1-3, Jeremiah 15:16)
B. Avoid Sin ( John 5:14)
Sin gives birth to sickness. The root of sickness is sin.
C. Engage in kingdom service ( Exodus 23:25-26, Matthew 6:33, 1 peter 5:8)
Contributing both physically, spiritually and financially.
Tithing is divine assurance to life.
D. Walk in love ( 1 John 4;18)
God is love (Hebrews 12;14-15)
Walking in bitterness makes one sick.
Learn to forgive to have healthy life.
E. The holy Communion.
The communion can be taken daily, the reason for the communion is to empower us in Christ.
The composition of the Communion is the flesh and blood.
What is in the flesh
a. It is the new testament manna( Exodus 16:35)
b. It is the miracle meal that naturalizes every poison in our body (2 kings 4:39-41, John 6:58)
c. It has power to swallow the rod of the oppressor ( Exodus 7;8-12, Isaiah 11:1, John 1:1)
d. It conveys the revelation boosting power of God.
e. It is a mystery of flesh transplant.( John 6:53-56)
Things that the holy Communion can do.
i. It makes us share with eternal life of Christ ( John 6:54)
ii. It preserves the body against the entrance of any sickness and diseases (Hebrews 8:6)
iii. It cures all manner(kind) of sickness and diseases ( Exodus 16;35)
iv. It exempts us from all forms of evil (Galatians 6:7 Acts 2:7)
v. It empowers us with supernatural strength ( Deu 8;4)
We ended the service with prayers and thanksgiving, then took the holy Communion and offering.
Before announcements and closing prayers.
Came back to complete some offline and online activities like heartbeatonhive contest replies, engagement on hive.
Ending the day with watching another Nigerian movie titled her mother's daughter.
Lately I have been enjoying some Nigerian movies ๐๐
