To foster self belief", remove your own internal emotion of either "fear or disgust" stigma inside of yourself regarding failure or people that may have failed in life, success requires a lot of parameters and systems to be right and failure requires only one thing to be wrong to crumble the entire deck of cards, you can't enter into a state of optimal growth development & breaking out of your own mold of psyche unless you convert that emotion into something that suits your purpose.
As justin sung put it :
learning is about systems not techniques.
1.Deep processing.
2.Self-Regulation.
3.Mindset.
4.Self management.
5.I forgot what it was.
The important ones are (1, 2 & 3) and guess what's most important (2 & 3), self regulation and mindset is key.
I'll share an example "this person is faulty at Harvard University Psychology today" and had wasted his life in gaming, weed and other things till 26 years of age. Got into medical school at 28 years of age, "he is someone your psyche might feel disgust of initially or feel that he's a failure", but unfortunatley life development ain't linear or fixed path as much as our ego's want it to be.
