All 3 of these nicotiana rustica survived over 100 days of no water. The soil has been bone dry for perhaps as long as a month. I just started rehydrating two days ago. Highs have been 85-90, lows 65-70, humidity 40-55%. Was growing cacti in the other half of the room
Some of them look like hell. We had an incident with oil-based spray that claimed to be safe on all plants even though I knew better. The black areas and subsequent brown scars on some of the columnar cacti are from that.
I'm in the propagation phase right now but i'm going to graft slow growing cacti onto the fast growing cacti that are growing from sideways cuttings right now in about half of the square pots.
I have some seedlings out of frame i'm going to graft to them, as well as some of the other columnar cacti in the square pots
you can sell a big grafted cactus for $25 or more
$50+ for some really big fancy ones.
