It took out a tree just like it always does. Fortunately, no one was hurt. That's my biggest fear. If they would have just put the utilities underground, then at least the power would remain. The danger of falling trees is always very high here. Getting the rain we do doesn't make the root systems go deeper into the earth seeking water. Consequently, they are fairly shallow and combine that with high winds; well they just fall!

Sometimes, we leave home just to get out and away from it.
