Stoney Ridge Farm part 2!
Yesterday, we went to the harvest festival at Stoney Ridge Farms, and if you didn’t see yesterday’s post, be sure to check it out.
This beautiful barrel of flowers could be found in several spots throughout the grounds. They were a perfect fall color combination!
One of the first things I noticed upon entering, was this barn/lean to that had church pews inside. That would be awesome to attend church in!
As with any family event, there are always lots of children present. This mom was helping her child with a sweater.
There were many displays of pumpkins, gourds and scarecrows around that lent a fall harvest feel to the grounds.
Stoney Ridge Farms was originally a Christmas tree farm.
We had an opportunity to ride the tractor wagon pull. It was a lot of fun! Watch this video for a bumpy and noisy ride!
Noisy but fun!
After the ride we went to the corn maze. WECU, a local credit union, was involved. You got an instruction page from their booth which explained that there were letters all along the maze. You needed to write them down as you encountered them and then create a fall themed word after you’d gotten them all. Bring your completed form back and win a prize. I got a caribiner for my efforts! 😁
The corn was 9-10’ tall! It was pretty incredible to stand in the middle of it.
Before we went to pay for my pumpkins, gourds and apples, we took a brief respite by the fire.
It was a lovely time. I’ve got more pics which I’ll mix in, in future posts.
This afternoon, I found Cyle asleep on the waterbed.
Cot was close by and I captured him doing this……
My, what large fangs you have!!🙀
That’s gonna be it for today. Take care and have an awesome week ahead! 🙏🌎🙏
