Rainy Days………My Actifit Report Card: October 8 2024

It was a rainy day today with lots of the wet stuff but nothing in comparison to what the folks in Florida are having come their way. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of Helene and to those who are in the path of Milton. 🙏

This morning, I headed to ladies Bible study. We are in Luke chapter four. Normally, we start at the beginning of a chapter, but at the end of chapter four is where the disciples are in the boat and a storm arises on the Sea of Galilee. That is where we started given the state of affairs in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina. We did eventually get back to the beginning of the chapter. One of our ladies is currently in Sarasota, Florida, as her father is dying. I believe they have moved inland at this point for safety.

After Bible study, I stopped at the grocery in a deluge of rain! There was no way to make it in or out after I was done, without getting soaked. 😏☔️ Then to the post office where again, more soaking, and then home. It still hadn’t let up by then. It’s rained pretty much all day.

I did an update on my computer and a few tasks with that and did some pacing and housework as well.

I scoured my archives for some lovely ‘shroom pics to share. Enjoy!☺️

Here’s a hydrangea from last Saturday at the farm.

Tomorrow begins my workweek. I have a good couple of hours work from Friday, plus all the insurance verifications for the day and for Thursday. Always something to do!

Mushrooms, in my backyard they are a sign of Fall. They just pop up practically over night.

I know what you mean. You can be out in the yard on one afternoon, and then go out to the same spot the next morning , and there they are! I love to photograph them! Take care sis! !HOPE

That is no fun getting drenched when you have to go out and do errands.

On the plus side, it sounds like you guys really need some rain!

I was pretty soaked for sure, but when it starts raining here, you just deal with it. There are landscaping companies that actually mow and do the work completely in the rain! Craziness for sure! Thanks for stopping by @jayna, and have a lovely day! !DIY

Yeah, that's one reason I left the northwest. Such a beautiful place! But the rain was too much for me. I think it rained a lot more than it does now, at least in Portland.

It rains as much if not more than when we moved here in 2000. Each year's a little different, but there are times I think we need a boat and are also growing webbed toes and fingers, lol! Liquid sunshine!🌞☔️ Take care!
