Today was the day to visit Stoney Ridge Farm-a local farm that has a fall festival every year in October, and then shifts in late November to the Christmas tree farm. The festival was in full swing when we arrived.
It’s been quite a number of years since we attended this event. It’s always been a bit of a family thing and our kids are grown and gone and there seems to be no grandkids in the near future. I jokingly told @silvertop, that we might have to look into ‘renting’ grandkids so that we could take them to things like this. 🤣
We were just enjoying the displays and the live bluegrass music.
There were acres of pumpkins and gourds! Just my kind of place!
@silvertop found a fellow to pose for him.
The mountains referred to as ‘Sisters’ as a backdrop for the festivities.
There was a big barn where you could have hot cider, coffee or food. They have some ginormous mason jar chandeliers in there!
There was a tractor wagon ride which I’ll show on another day. Out further were some other food trucks and a corn maze, which I’ll show on another day. I’ve got so many pictures, lol!
The apple orchard was row upon row of dwarf apple trees. You could pick your own if you liked so I got a few.
We spent almost three hours exploring, oh, and the corn maze was pretty awesome as well! Pictures for another day on that.
A nice little arbor to take a break at.
They also sell fresh pressed cider which of course, I had to get a gallon of! It was a lovely day with stellar weather and cool temperatures. There was a fire pit should you happen to get cold! We enjoyed the time spent and the day!
That’s gonna be it for today. Stay tuned for part two tomorrow. Have a lovely rest of your day! 🙏🌎🙏
