Mmmm….Mmmm….Good!…..My Actifit Report Card: June 4 2024

See those 3 white flowers? They will turn into the most delicious little berry we call around here, Service Berries, Thimble Berries and probably a few other local names. They will begin to ripen within the next 2-3 weeks into a berry chock full of flavor and loaded with vitamin C! They grow prolifically wild here in yards, along the road and up in the forest. Makes for great grazing as you hike! Come hungry!

The morning saw me headed to ladies Bible study. Our group is growing and will soon need to meet in a bigger space! Fortunately the church where this is held has plenty of bigger rooms!

Afterwards, I did some things around the house and then we headed out for a hike up to the pond.

The morning and early afternoon was a lot of on again off again showers. Enjoy the eye candy!

Cot and Cyle apparently never move from the waterbed, lol!😹

Tomorrow finds me headed to work. This was the first Tuesday in forever that I didn’t bring home anything to work on from work. I’ll find out in the morning if I’m going to regret that. 😏

After Service Berry season, is Blackberry season! They are all organic and big and juicy-amazing actually! You will find our road out harvesting in the evenings as everybody shares; it's wonderful!

From one into the next what a pleasure being able to pick them off the land. Our berry season is normally available in the shops at a price, I do enjoy berries when in season !LOLZ sucker for punishment.

What I miss is the Mulberry we had growing up in the garden, end of day purple feet and hands 🤣

I have seen what a Mulberry tree can do, lol! Purple EVERYTHING! Hands, feet, cars, pavement; it's quite amazing!

Because Washington state is the berry capital, which means too, that the birds eat a lot and drop those seeds everywhere! That's how we got our local roadside berry patch that stretches literally for miles! It does make for a productive picking season without having to drive anywhere to get them! Plus they are free! You should come this way sometime; we all share! Take care @joanstewart!🤗💟
