A dear greeting to all lovers of physical activities that populate the mythical community of Actifit.
The blue sky comes out from behind the hill of Posillipo observing from the characteristic district of Piedigrotta.
The evening is humid and warm are the fiery colors from a whole day of flying rays.
The restoration of the promontory that houses the palace of Don Anna has begun. The infamous residence where Queen Joan of Anjou (at least from what she told the pen of the illustrious Neapolitan writer Matilde Serao) consumed the heinous crimes of love of her lovers to hide the stains to her honor that fell upon her from her dissolute life.
While I was looking out over one of the most enchanting gulfs in the world enjoying a magnificent view there were waiters who were frantically preparing the tables of a restaurant probably for some evening ceremony.
To the east also Vesuvius was prepared together with the Castel dell'Ovo and the marina of Mergellina at the evening reception while a boat was waiting to sail the waters of the Gulf in the direction of the island of Procida.
The district of Posillipo, which is now an integral part of the city of Naples, until 1800 was poorly developed. Now the modern and elegant back built in baroque style has incorporated, respecting, some pre-existing structures. An example is the neo-classical Church of Our Lady of Sorrows built in the mid-1800s.
Later, in the Hospice Marino in full renovation, the statue of Saint Francis of Assisi, rises from the construction site with his hands turned to heaven to ask for the blessing of three illustrious men pride of the Italian peninsula: Dante, Giotto and Garibaldi.
On the Gulf of Naples even the simplest palace becomes a work of art. There we can see the palace of the nuns on the famous beach of the same name with crystal clear waters.
The villas and palaces that populate the magnificent melt are all equipped with suggestive stairs that climb masterfully on the hill from the sea.
Unfortunately time passes and my destination is this magnificent pine tree that have been pruned to better resist the storms that this year have raged on the Gulf of Naples.
On my way back I took some pictures of buildings architecturally excellent.
The chromatic contrasts are of remarkable beauty and reveal how they are populated by the wealthiest citizens of the city.
At first the intention was to make Posillipo a neighborhood for fishermen but now there are a mix of palaces that define them castles is not an understatement.
Before starting the run-up to public transport to return home I throw my eye on the breaking of the waves on the shore. A breath of air watching this sublime scene returns you a year of life.
The last passage I dedicate to celebrate the #iamalivechallenge number 394 which corresponds to the report #actifit 493. Even today I’m #alive and now it’s time to run to the metro station 2 of Mergellina.
Finally, I would like to thank all my friends from the tribe of #Alive and all the new friends who happened between the lines of my stories for reading my thoughts and see you at the next #actifit report.
