Wow! What a lovely day! Right from the get-go! Wall to wall sunshine, so mid-morning, I set out on a short ride to Buchan Park.
I live in the centre of the town. There are many options to get to the fringes of the housing estates. On the way, I take as many off-road routes as I can. Bridal paths or woodland footpaths. Avoiding roads as much as possible. Obviously, I have to ride on roads, but I like to minimise this as much as possible.
The bright sunshine allowed a great photo opportunity. Some of my shots were taken directly into the sun! The results were fantastic. At the time, I had no idea about the results, as i couldn't see anything! My eyes were blinded.
This saturday in Buchan Park was quite busy, probably due to the lovely dry conditions. The ground conditions were quite wet due to the heavy rain over the last few days, so i kept my pace down in the wettest areas.
Overall, a very nice winter ride. Keeping up the fitness for more adventurous and longer rides to come in the next few months.
