So, with a glorious sunny day again and temperatures a little higher and well above freezing, I decided to have a ride on my mountain bike. I kept it shorter today as it has been a while since I last cycled. I'm determined not to wait so long next time!
Setting off through Goffs Park, along the central path, it was deserted! Hardly a soul around. I was a little surprised as this park is really close to the town centre , and is very popular.
The lake still had some ice where the birds were standing, looking quite bewildered! 😆
Onward towards Tilgate Park, where I had a choice of path. I took the left track, slightly muddy but more challeges. 😅
Here, there were more people, mostly dog walkers, but definitely more enjoying the sunshine.
Conditions for cyling off road today were very soft to wet. My bike needed a good rinse afterwards. I made sure to keep to tracks that I knew would be passable on a bike today.
The sun was getting low, so it was time to head back. I do carry lights with me just in case I need them at this time of year with shorter daylight hours. I prefer to cycle in daylight, though. The final picture of Tilgate Lake with a low sun is nice.
