Another cave to be discovered in Ardèche region in France 🇫🇷 - My Actifit Report Card: May 29 2024

in Actifit7 months ago

Hey dear actifitters and readers,

yesterday we discovered another cave in Ardèche region in France 🇫🇷

We started at our campsite around midday to visit "La grotte du prevel".

It took us 25min to drive to the parking space near the entrance.

It was a short walk trough the vineyards and a steep path trough the wood.

We arrived at a the entrance and cold air came out of the cave. It was a comfortable entrance and easy to access.

We reached the first hall of the cave after a few minutes and we were excited about all the formations to discover.

We discussed about time needed to built the formations. A stalactite grows 1mm in 10 years.

We found stalactites with 3m in length. The started to grow about 30000 years ago.

I guess the cat we found was made by humans. 😃

But all the other formations were made by nature and in good conditions.

On our way back we made a stop in Montclus.

It's on the list of the most beautiful villages in France.

Unfortunately we didn't find a open bar to have drink.

Therefore we stopped at the next village from the list and had a perfect cooled white wine. 🍷
