Hey dear actifitters and readers,
we had a bad day regarding the weather yesterday. We had to deal with rain all over the day. But got lucky in the evening.
As the weatherforcast gave us a little chance for some better weather in the evening we made the plan to visit Veviers and Montelimar after the rain was supposed to stop.
We spent the morning and the early afternoon in our huge tent playing Card games, chatting and having snacks. The weather forecast said the rain will stop in two hours. But after two hours we got the same message again.
In the afternoon the cloud radar got better and better and we took the car to visit two towns not far away.
The first stop was in Veviers a small ancient town with narrow streets and a church up on the hill.
Almost all the villages and small towns here in southern France looking and feeling a like a living lost place.
We discovered many abandoned houses and closed shops.
Even Montelimar a town with about 40000 inhabitants seemed almost dead to us. I guess a third of all shops were closed and waiting for new owners.
We had to deal with some rain again and spent an hour in a cafe having some white wine.
After the rain had stopped we continued our city walk with shopping and having a snack in a bistro.
