Hey dear actifitters and readers,
we went to Basel to Basel for a Sunday trip. Basel is only an hour by car and we rarely have the opportunity to be there.
We had no date and had some time to spent together. We were about to make a plan as my sister wrote a message.
She found a used swing for her daughter on a online portal and asked if it would be possible to get it for her.
We took the car and went to a village near Basel to get the swing. It took only a few minutes and after the swing was bought we headed straight to Basel to find a parking space.
We found a free space near the fair and started with the walk.
Some years ago I had a job at the fair building booths for the jewellery fair.
At this time I had no interest in the architecture it was only a students job. Yesterday I enjoyed the building with the interesting facade.
They have many little fountains in the city with drinking water. It must be nice in summer to have fresh water everywhere in the city.
We followed our way and crossed the river Rhine to get to the city center.
We stopped at the cathedral and spent some time to listen to the violin played by a traveller who stopped with her bicycle here.
She played the Beethoven sonata and you can spot her on the left corner of the cathedral.
On hour way back we had to cross the river again. We took another bridge and didn't choose the little ferry you see in one of the first pictures.
We walked along the river towards the huge Roche towers. Roche build the towers in the last years to enlarge their headquarter.
We enjoyed the sun and the warm temperatures. Unfortunately many many people did the same as we did. And we didn't find a free seat in a cafe to have a drink
That's for today. I hope your Sunday was as nice I my Sunday was. 😀
