It’s funny how progress works, it’s never a straight line. Rebuilding endurance after a break feels a bit like starting over, but with a dash of muscle memory to keep things interesting. Today’s walk was 11km at an 11:12min/km pace. Not quite last summer’s 30km at 10min/km, but you don’t climb a mountain in one leap. You take it one deliberate step at a time.
The weather today? A gloomy cocktail of grey skies and chilly winds. But the landscapes more than made up for it. There’s something magical about a moody day, bare trees, still waters reflecting their silhouette, and the quiet hum of nature. Oh, and the sun? It decided to bless my last kilometer with a tiny, glorious cameo. Perfect timing.
So let’s go for slow, steady progress and appreciating the journey as much as the destination. Whether it’s 5km or 50km, the key is to keep moving forward. We’ll get there. #WalkingJournal #KeepGoing
