Not much of a sunset today. But with a bit of tonal contrast, even the overcast sky can bring a bit of a dramatic effect.
I walked the path along the traintracks a little further tonight. Almost reaching the next village over until I found what I was looking for. The sleeping dragons.
This one is a chunky boi. Beautifully named "Stopfexpress", which easily translates to "stuffing express". It has a set of steel paddles under its belly with which it reaches between the rail binders to rattle and settle the gravels.
To get enough gravel spread between the rails, its longnosed relative has to go along first. With its peculiar snout and whiskers it collects the gravel that's been spread to the side of the tracks back onto them.
And these yellow steel dragons they do work fast. The two or three miles along the village outskirts are basically all done already!
Thanks for your time!
