I was sitting in my shop today and my sister showed me a post of our childhood friend. She literally built a house for her parents in America. This means a whole lot. It’s a big thing for a Nigerian to buy a house in America. If she could do that for her parents, it means that she must have been living very well and maybe have a house of herself over there to.
To be very honest, I’m not a jealous person. I was very happy for her even though I was kinda sad that I’m not rich yet.
There are so many times when I check social media but see how my mates have made it, I sometimes feel bad about it but I know I’m not God and I know that my time will come. It just happens to me that when I see how far some people have gone in life, it motivates me to do better even though I still feel sad that I haven’t gotten to that position I want to be in life yet.
After seeing the video the lady made, I just kept on telling myself that I will make it even though it comes later or sooner. Do you sometimes feel like this? I know it isn’t like you haven’t visualized greatness but because you feel it is taking longer than expected. That’s actually the way I feel right now but I just know that God is somewhere looking at me and trying to help me calm my mind.
Music is my remedy so in order for me not to feel sad, I just went to my music application to listen to some songs. Ease your mind has always been one of the songs topping chart on my mind for so long. This song was released by Wizkid and is a kind of song that will keep you going when you’re sad, down or feeling like things are not going they way they are supposed to.
I kept on listening to this song and if I am not mistaken, I listened to it over ten times. It actually made me cry and prayed for my life to be better but it made me feel relieved that whatever we may be going through, we should ease our minds because there are better days to come and that’s what I’m waiting for.
I also listened to common person by Burna Boy. I know I’m a common person now but I know a day will come when I will forget all my sorrows and that’s something I am sure about.
I listened to the song and even watched the video and it had a way of making me calm as well.
The video portrays what I’m going through in my life right now but I’m sure these tribulations will end.
