I feel it wouldn’t be nice if I don’t share one of the trending albums in Nigeria with you all today. It’s not only trending in Nigeria but every part of the world. It’s trending more in Nigeria because the owner of the album is a Nigerian.
Have you ever heard of Asake? Asake is a Nigerian artiste who came into limelight in 2022 when a bigger Nigerian artiste signed him into his record label and promoted his songs.
Since then, Asake never stopped dropping banger for us. Last week, he released his latest album titled Lungu Boy.
In this album, he featured so many big artistes like Wizkid, Central Cee and others.

Here, Asake featured Wizkid. The theme of the song is about the pains that the two artistes have been through. Tears rolled my eyes when Wizkid mentioned that he lost his mother few months back and that’s the darkest and saddest moment of his life.
Despite what they have been through, the two artistes thanked God for at least being in a better position today and they are at least better than who they used to be. That’s the theme and I can relate to it as well because I’m grateful for all I’ve been through.
Fuji Vibe
Have you ever heard about Fuji? Fuji is a music genre that originates from Nigeria and it is mostly sung in Yoruba language. I think Asake felt we Nigerians have had too much of Hip Hop songs or even the Afro pop songs so he felt he could give us something different by bringing back the favorite music genre of our parents. If you have ever met African parents, you will know how much the cherish Fuji music.
How dies the song sound to you? It sounds appealing to me and I love it.

Here, the great Asake featured Central Cee and I’m sure you could remember vividly when I mentioned that he featured other bigger artistes in his album and this is another feature.
He featured Central Cee in this album and he mentioned that he’s on a Wave right now.
I guess he was trying to pass a message across to his ex here, lol. I said that because he mentioned that no one should stress him or at least come close to him. He mentioned that he is enjoying the life he’s living right now and no one should come in between him and his lifestyle.
That’s it and as you can see, he dhot the video on the streets which shoes that he’s having a good time.
