Hi there! Welcome back to my post! I hope that you are doing great. In this post, I shared photographs of different mosques around me (my place of living)! Let's dive in!
For Muslims, it's mandatory to offer 5-time prayers in a day.
- At Dawn (Fajr)
- Just after noon (Zuhr)
- In the afternoon (Asr)
- After sunset (Maghrib)
- In the early part of the night (Isha)
On Friday, the Zuhr prayer is replaced by the Jummah prayer.
The mosques are our place to offer prayers; in groups or individually. It is permitted to offer prayer at home except for the Jummah prayer. However, offering prayer timely in the mosque together is many times more rewarding than praying alone at home. Some scholars of Islam even say that praying alone invalidates it if someone doesn't have a valid excuse (Except for the ladies).
Anyone can pray in any mosque. The 5-time prayer takes place in every mosque. However, the Jummah prayer doesn't. For the weekly large gathering, the jummah prayer is held only in a handful of large mosques on Friday. Let us see some mosque photographs
The Sultan Qaboos mosque is where the Muslims offer their 5 times daily prayers as well as weekly Jummah prayer.

This mosque is near to my home where I go most of the time to offer my prayers. The Jummah prayer is also held here. Hence, I say my Jummah prayer in this mosque.
The same mosque, taken on another evening
The same mosque
This mosque is near to my clinic where I go to offer my prayer while on duty. No Jummah prayer is held here.
This mosque is in Araqi, near to the clinic where I go sometimes as a proxy doctor. Again, only daily prayers are held here, no Jummah prayer.

Another similar mosque. Both are for daily prayers, not for Jummah prayer!
Thanking you
