RE: Your favorite soda (Mini comment contest # 4)

in Amazing Drinkslast month

Hi @amazingdrinks friends!!!! Mini contest about favorite sodas. I used to love rather sweet orange, pineapple or grape type drinks. Now, I can't drink any of these due to health issues. But, here is my participation.

I am going to tell you about this soda produced in Argentina, but with a Venezuelan seal. It is called Reko-piña, from the Reko-bebidas family. I used to love to buy it in Venezuelan food stores to accompany arepas or empanadas, and a sip was enough to bring back childhood memories of Venezuela. It has other presentations with colita, grape and manzanita flavors, but pineapple was the best.

These sodas were born in 2018, when the community of Venezuelans based in Argentina grew enormously. Its creators saw the potential in the market and developed products that would bring memories and longing to Venezuelans living in this country. Today they sell in almost all Venezuelan gastronomy stores in Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Neuquen, Chubut and Córdoba.

Hi @luisacarola

How wonderful it is to know that despite this misfortune called forced migration, which we Venezuelans have had to experience, good and productive initiatives like the one you share with us, from this soda brand, are still generated.

I don't know Reko-pineapple, but it must be super delicious and with the Venezuelan flavor, which you miss so much when you are far from here.

Thank you very much for participating in the mini contest.

Cheers!
