Curator Cat: Two Weeks of Kittens!

in HiveCats3 months ago

Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

I hope this finds everyone happy and well and enjoying their week!

Happy kittens have come home!

It has now been two weeks since Shangri and Nala came into our home and, it would be safe to say, into our hearts.

Yes, Lala has been renamed "Nala," because she insisted it is her name.

At this point they have pretty much integrated fully into the household, although they do still spend the night in the safety of what we have dubbed "the kitten room" where they first landed.

Their initial skittishness has pretty much worn off, and they now eagerly seek out the Hoomans for pets and snuggles, where just a week ago they would often hide.

Shangri is no longer nervous kitty

Their personalities are also starting to become more clearly defined, as they continue to relax into their "forever home."

Both of them seem to be uncommonly sweet natured, compared to the many cats and kittens that have been part of our lives, over the years.

Nala

Nala is the more curious and adventurous, and she is - needless to say - fascinated by the Mom-Hooman's caged finches.

She is also the fiercest when it comes to playtime... and would likely be a fearsome hunter, we're she an outdoor cat.

Shangri, chilling

Shangri is definitely more sensitive and cautious, while also being very playful... and he just adores his "Uncle Shadow!"

Meanwhile, I have become more comfortable with my role as "Uncle Shadow," although all that running around sometimes gets a little tiring to put up with.

Supervising the appropriate use of the ball toy...

Life is richer around here, and I also sense that the arrival of the kittens has been good for the Hoomans... a couple of days ago, they got rid of the last of Daisy the dog's bedding and random toys.

We all still miss her, but it's time to celebrate these new lives rather than dwelling on one that ended.

Yes, I still get my sunny spots!

And that's about all for today's update! Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you again for Caturday!

To all those who are at HiveFest in Croatia, I hope you are having a marvelous time, as well!

=^..^=

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communities!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
