Dismantling that stage proved to be incredibly difficult. They used a combination of screw shank nails, screws, a few hex head lagbolts and a PLETHORA of staples
I plan to use the sheets of plywood on the outside of my garage, after I remove the corrugated metal. That garage will end up as a workshop if I survive long enough

This went easier since yesterday after I dropped him at his house, I went to Lowe's and bought a new, rechargeable sawzall
Look ma, no stage!
I found what I was afraid of, not termites per se, but the floor directly beneath that heat pump, where the wall meets the floor, is completely rotted out. A clear path to the outside.
Longrange plans are to repair that wall and floor, create a bathroom/kitchenette in that corner so the building can be rented out.
