Before the beginning of last week, I was eagerly anticipating my 2nd anniversary on Hive on July 12th. Unfortunately, life got in the way, and on the night of the 12th, I received a notification from Hivebuzz reminding me of my 2nd anniversary, and I was surprised! It's unfortunate that it caught me off guard and I didn't conclude my plans on how to celebrate it.
I posted about it on my WhatsApp status and received many congratulatory messages. One of my friends asked if I was going to write and make a big deal out of it. I told her no because the date caught me off guard despite my plans to celebrate it loudly.
Enough of the rants!
The HIVE blockchain has been a big help to me over the past two years, and I'm always grateful to God for leading me to this platform. Each time I reflect on my journey here, I can't tell the full story without mentioning @kushyzee, who introduced me to a writing platform where we eventually migrated to HIVE. If I hadn't followed him to that platform, I might never have discovered HIVE.
Financial Blessing: This platform has been my all-time savior whenever I need money urgently. Like I always tell people, I would rather withdraw my money from here than go around borrowing or begging for financial help. I can't stand it when someone who should be helpful refuses.
Thanks to this platform, I bought my current phone, power banks, and settled numerous bills...If I added up the figures, it would be enough to buy half of my country. Lol.
Learning: One of the major blessings has been knowledge and learning. I won't lie, I'm not perfect yet, but I've learned a lot about writing, especially avoiding the mistakes I used to make. Apart from that, I've gained insights into people's lifestyles, especially non-Nigerians. It feels like living with people from different continents in one room.
Growth in Power: Oh yeah, I should be shy to check my Hive Power and see 2,900+ HP for a 2-year user. Anyway, I've worked hard to reach this level because it's not easy. Only I know what I've been through.
Friends: Being blessed with numerous friends is one of the biggest blessings I've received on this Blockchain in the past two years. I think it's right to say that after earning and expanding the strength of Hive cryptocurrency, friendship is the next biggest aim of this platform. I've been blessed with many friends, friends who are now like family. These people have helped me in my journey here in various ways, and I want to say "thank you" to all of them.
Of course, I can't start mentioning names because this article would become 5,000 words long.
In this new phase, I'm going to keep it simple as it has been: write more, read more, earn more, stake more, and make or keep more friends.
