Crocheted Sunflower ft my little man

in Hive PH4 months ago

Life has been a little hard for me these past few days and I don't know why I always feel tired and bored when life is full of surprises and beautiful things. Perhaps my focus and priorities were diverted to other things rather than writing. Trust me, i had too much to write yet often I don;t think I had to because I might regret them one day. My life had been full of disappointments and I don't want to write them and stumble a few years later and think of my younger self so stupid.

Anyway, enough of that. Let me jump you into the lastest crochet project that I did. I though of making this piece on the second week of May and make it into my son's graduation garland but my husband insisted the school does not require it.

I was disappointed yet I still continued on making the flower since my mojo is on and I was inspired at that time thinking to myself I could convert it to anything I want it to be but I honestly, I lost the flower and I can't remember nor find it anywhere.

Glad I was able to take pictures of me making the flower and I am glad to share it with you.

I made the core at my workplace, It's made of 8 double crochets on a magic ring and increased on the second and third round as I worked.

You might wonder why I only made the core at my workplace; it's beacause my crochet supplies were at home and my workplace. Some yarn colors were at workplace and some were at home. At this instance,I had my yellow yarn at home and I wanted to make use of my time so I made the core beforehand and decided to work on the petals after dinner.

My lovely son joined me as he munched on banana chips I was selling at that time, waiting for me to be vacant because he always wants cuddles whenever I am home.

Forgive the mess hanging around

He was so happy to see me nearly done

Not long after, I was done and I am happy with the result. The original plan was to make the lanyard for the garland but was postponed when my husband said it's not necessary. But on my son's graduation day at kindergarten, he kids were asked to wear the garland on their parents as tribute of gratitude for the whole year's sacrifice and patience.

Oh, and a bonus! The flower got an amazing shadow casted by the light we used in our living room!

Life is a roller coaster of happiness, excitement and disappointments but despite all that, always have the source of happiness from the people and things that you love!

This will be all for today, thanks you for your never ending support always!
