Greetings, friends of the BEER community. It's my first time posting here, and I'm very happy to do so. I think it's great that this space and this weekly contest exist, as it allows us to share and get to know this great world of BEERS. And although I have arrived in week 340 of this contest, I hope to continue participating, congratulations to @detlev for his perseverance.
Saludos, amigos de la comunidad BEER. Es la primera vez que publico aquí, y estoy muy contenta de hacerlo. Me parece genial que exista este espacio y este concurso semanal, pues nos permite compartir y conocer ese mundo genial de las CERVEZAS. Y aunque he llegado en la semana 340 de este concurso, espero seguir participando, felicitaciones a @detlev por su constancia.
Last Friday I went shopping at a store near my house. It is a large warehouse, with a wide variety of merchandise, groceries, drinks. I approached a refrigerator with various drinks, such as soft drinks, water, wines and they also had beers for sale, all from other countries, none of them Venezuelan; so I decided to choose one and this is the one I brought you today. It is a Colombian beer named ANDINA DORADA, for which I paid 0.80 US$ per can Let's get to know this beer!
El pasado viernes fui de compras a un almacén cercano a mi casa. Es un almacén grande, con gran variedad de mercancía, víveres, bebidas. Me acerqué a un refrigerador con varias bebidas, como refrescos, agua, vinos y también tenían a la venta cervezas, todas de otros países, ninguna venezolana; así que opté por elegir una y es esta la que les he traído hoy. Es una cerveza colombiana de nombre ANDINA DORADA, por la cual pagué 0.80 $ americanos la lata. ¡Vamos a conocer esta cerveza!
THE BEER / LA CERVEZA
The first thing that catches my attention about this beer is its beautiful presentation: A small and delicate can, with a drawing of a condor, with the silhouettes of the Andean mountains, on a golden background, without a doubt a beautiful presence, which anticipate a good drink.
Lo primero que me llama la atención de esta cerveza, es su hermosa presentación: Una pequeña y delicada lata, con un dibujo de un cóndor, con la siluetas de las montañas andinas, sobre un fondo dorado, sin duda alguna una hermosa presencia, que anticipa una buena bebida.
When reading the information on the can, I find the following: On the front there is a warning regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages and the risk they pose to health; on one of the sides I see the address where it is manufactured (Bogotá, Colombia), with the alcoholic strength which is low, (only 4°), and the net content of the can, which is 269 cm3. Likewise, on the opposite side of the can, you can read the health record, the customer service line, conservation, storage and consumption recommendations, and also includes the prohibition of selling alcoholic beverages to minors. Very complete information, well distributed and diagrammed.
Al leer la información de la lata, encuentro lo siguiente: En la parte frontal trae una advertencia respecto al consumo de bebidas alcohólicas y el riesgo que implican para la salud; por uno de los costados veo la dirección en donde es fabricada (Bogotá, Colombia), con el grado alcohólico que es bajo, (sólo 4°), y el contenido neto de la lata, que es de 269 cms3. Asimismo, en el costado contrario de la lata, se puede leer el registro sanitario, la línea de atención al cliente, las recomendaciones de conservación, almacenaje y consumo, y también incluye la prohibición de expender bebidas alcohólicas a menores de edad. Muy completa la información, bien distribuida y diagramada.
When opening the can, even though I never drink directly from them, I always take the precaution of cleaning the top and edges with a napkin, avoiding any undesirable residue, this was my dad's teaching.
Al abrir la lata, aún cuando nunca bebo directamente de ellas, siempre tomo la previsión de limpiar la cara superior y los bordes con una servilleta, evitando cualquier residuo indeseable, esto fue enseñanza de mi papá.
Now to serve it: It may seem sacrilege for the Venezuelan beer industry, but I will use a Polar brand glass and coaster, which is the main brewer in my country, Venezuela.
Ahora a servirla: Puede parecer un sacrilegio para la industria cervecera venezolana, pero usaré una copa y un posavasos marca Polar, que es la principal cervecera de mi país, Venezuela.
I'll be frank: I don't know much about beers, and the little I know is about Venezuelan beers; however, my senses allow me to appreciate this drink, and the first thing that stands out is its beautiful golden color, very pretty, which lives up to its name. Then comes its aroma, which reminds me of another Venezuelan beer, Solera, but I can't specify which one exactly, and then its flavor, which is very pleasant and also similar to that Solera beer.
Seré franca: No conozco mucho de cervezas, y lo poco que sé es de cervezas venezolanas; no obstante, mis sentidos me permiten apreciar esta bebida, y lo primero que resalta a la vista, es su hermoso color dorado, muy bonito, con lo cual hace honor a su nombre. Luego viene su aroma, que me recuerda a otra cerveza venezolana, la Solera, pero no puedo precisar cuál de ellas exactamente, y después su sabor que es muy agradable y también similar a esa cerveza Solera.
I don't really like blonde or light beers, because for my palate they are bland, simple, however this Andina Dorada beer was a very pleasant surprise, I think I would drink it without any problem, because it has a very good flavor, good body, great smell and a very pretty color, I recommend it.
No me gustan mucho las cervezas rubias o claras, pues para mi paladar son sosas, sin embargo esta cerveza Andina Dorada fue una muy grata sorpresa, creo que la tomaría sin ningún problema, pues tiene muy buen sabor, buen cuerpo, estupendo olor y un color muy bonito, la recomiendo.
