Enjoying an Estrella Galicia 1906 in Burgos along with its gastronomy.

in BEER10 months ago

Hi,

Galician beers are my weakness and in particular Estrella Galicia 1906. A toasted beer that has become one of the best selling beers in Spain in recent years.

One of the virtues of this beer is that despite having an alcohol content of 6.5% in the mouth the alcohol is not at all noticeable and one enjoys its flavor where toasted sensations predominate, perceiving with each sip a friendly and well-integrated warmth.

My last mil nueve was drunk a few days ago in the city of Burgos, where I enjoyed a cool stroll through its parks and a visit to its spectacular cathedral.

After the visit to the cathedral, my body was cold and with the intention of warming up I went to a small bar where typical dishes such as patatas bravas and morcilla de burgos were advertised. So I went in and ordered something to eat but with a 1906.

The patatas bravas were good, but the fried black pudding was spectacular and you don't know how well it combined the slightly spicy flavor of the black pudding with the bitter touch of the 1906.

For those of you who don't know the morcillas de Burgos, I want to tell you that it is a sausage prepared with onion, rice, lard, salt, ground pepper, sweet paprika, hot paprika and pork blood. In turn, once cured, it is consumed fried on the grill.

After finishing my dishes, I drank a second thousand and nine as a gastronomic colophon, hypnotized by the bright amber color of this beer.

Regards.
