Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We have arrived at the first weekend in February, and that also means we have arrived at the first Caturday — my favorite day of the week!

It seems like the house is finally back to its normal quiet self, without too many comings and going and without any undue disasters or weather extremes in the making!

The Son-Hooman who was living with us, has now left for his holiday in Costa Rica, and we hope he is having a fun time there! I'm just happy he's no longer shouting at the television when the football games are on!

Longer Days Mean More Sun!

I'm very grateful that the days seem to be getting longer, and we've even had some periods of sunshine which means more daylight for us, and more opportunities to take a good long nap in a sunny spot!

The Hoomans have not yet started to work on their outdoor garden projects because winter is still here after all, so they're busy doing their indoor crafts projects and their work which means I can be in the middle of it and supervise... because, goodness knows, they need some good guidance now and then!

Checking out the Mom-Hooman's sewing stuff...

I really like it when the Dad-Hooman works with his little pieces of paper (stamps) and I can lay down in the middle of what he's doing and get them all moved around till they're "just so!" I don't know why he gets so upset about it... he should just let his customers know that there's always "free cat hair with purchase!"

Of course I can't let the Mom-Hooman feel neglected so I go up and help her with her craft projects. She makes lots of miniature furniture and such things using objects she brings in from the garden and the surrounding woods — there's always something interesting to smell and carry off for closer examination.

I also help with the laundry!

It's important for a cat to earn his keep!

Crypto... meh...

We have all pretty much stopped holding our breath and laid aside expectations of better things to start happening in the Cryptosphere, and in a way that is a bit of a relief. If the Universe has its usual sense of humor, it also means that's just about the time when everything's going to go haywire!

Meanwhile, my next personal goal is to reach 4,000 Hive power, and I'm not that far away now. I'm hoping I might be able to reach that point by April, maybe even sooner. And then it'll be onward from there, on my quest to become "the cat who would be a Dolphin!"

Smudge sleeps...

We are still keeping a close eye on my fuzzy Housemate Smudge, who continues to very much show her age.

We were checking back through the old records from when her former Mom-Hooman "re-adopted" her to us, and it seems that our previous information that she is going to be 17 around Valentine's Day is actually not correct... she's actually going to be 19! That's quite an age for a cat!

Meanwhile, I am very slowly building a small balance of staked tokens in the new @holozing game. I'm not exactly "Gamercat," but I do like to support homegrown Hive projects that look promising!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
