Welcome to the weekend and welcome to the first Caturday in the month of August! Time for another round of cat photos, on this my favorite day of the week!
Loving the sunshine!
It has been another warm and sunny week with many good sunpuddles around the house for excellent catnaps!
Sadly, our peaceful week was thrown off a little on Wednesday afternoon when we learned that the Daughter-Hooman needed to go to the hospital on Friday morning for an emergency surgical procedure.

Since she only lives about 90 minutes away in Seattle, the Mom-Hooman dropped everything and headed across the Sound to be with her, while the Dad-Hooman stayed home to look after the house and us cats!
I can report that the procedure went well, and our patient is back home and recovering. It was a good thing the Mom-Hooman was there to support her!

Out Internet was "broken" most of yesterday — something to do with new main cables being laid, says the Dad-Hooman — so I had the house to myself, as the Dad-Hooman used the lack of service as an excuse to do yard work, all day!
All in all, it was a good day for everyone! The Internet finally came back on at about 4:00am, after a 16-hour outage... of course, now the Dad-Hooman is very busy trying to catch up with all the online things he didn't get to, yesterday... silly Hooman!

Of course, this also meant that we didn't much check in with the Cryptosphere yesterday... but that was probably a good thing, given that everything seemed to fall apart a little! I don't care that much... I just want to be able to check in to see how our cat blog is going!
The Mom-Hooman says she is going to stay in Seattle until Monday because the Daughter-Hooman isn't supposed to exert herself much for a few days. And that is pretty much as it it supposed to be.

As I have mentioned a few times, I'm revisiting my Hive goals for 2024... mostly because I don't think we're going to make our projected 5,000 HP by the end of the year. I just rounded 4,300 HP, and I'm not convinced another 700 this year is realistic. We'll see...
After all, I'm a cat, and most of the time I'd rather be nipping than try to be some kind of ambitious go-getter! Still, this is all part of my bigger aspirations to become a Hive "Dolphin" by the end of 2025... every little bit counts.

Well, Caturday is almost over so I suppose we'd better get this post out while there is still time left!
