Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
I'm afraid we missed having a Caturday post last week because the Hoomans were out of town at a festival in another state... and I had only our house sitter for company... and although he's nice, he does not have a grasp on the importance of Caturday!
Cat gratitude!
But now the Hoomans are safely home again, and life has returned to some semblance of normalcy!
This was actually the first time in my eight years in this world that my Hoomans had been gone for more than just an overnight trip... which was a little worrisome.
What if they had not come back?
TV time with the Mom-Hooman!
I know we are taught at "Cat University" to give the Hoomans a cold shoulder if they go away for any time at all... but I was just happy to see them again and barely left their sides for a couple of days after their return.
Who says cats can't form close attachments?!?!?
Computer work!
I think the trip was good for the Hoomans... they seem a little more relaxed and not as anxious about their "work" as they were before they left.
Hopefully that will last for a while... I think they worry too much. But then, I'm a cat and we like to be pretty relaxed about life and its happenings.
Except when we're not!
Other than that, summer is in full swing around here. The heatwave we had before the Hoomans left had abated somewhat and life is just plain comfortable!
Smudge is doing well... her old bones does like the warmth, and she's not as stiff and limpy when she gets going in the morning.
All in all, she is in remarkably good health for a kitty who will be 20 years of age in the spring!
Smudge!
Don't really have a lot to say about the overall Cryptosphere these days, although I'd be lying if I didn't admit to being a little worried about the way our own Hive token seems to keep lagging the greater world.
Every time there's a broader downward move, Hive follows... every time that move is reversed and the markets go back up. Hive does not follow.
It's not worrisome enough to make me feel like just giving up... but it's also not a great confidence builder.
Seems to me we really need something to happen here that generates excitement outside Hive's borders... because those of us who are already here aren't the ones that need to be persuaded.
Sometimes I can't help but think that one of the weaknesses of decentralization is that since nobody is "in charge," there's also nobody to take initiative and aggressively move things forward.
But then again, maybe I don't fully understand how things work... after all, I'm just a cat!
On that light note, I'm going to wish everyone a great Sunday, and I hope your Caturday was a good one! I appreciate you stopping by our cat blog, and hope to see you again!

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
