I just went through a post that was about her first time traveling by plane and I felt jealous, it is my fantasy transportation but I'm yet to even see it happening anytime soon. Maybe I'll plan bigger for the vacation I have in mind to go by air, have fun and come back by air as well just to bring my fantasy to reality.
Well, until that happens, I've got a favourite kind of transportation I was so glad to experience as much as I did at that time. It was one of the many routes to the university I attended and I discovered it a year to when I was graduating. I wish I found it much earlier but it was still amazing I found out when I did.
The Train is my favourite kind of transportation and I've got so much to say about it.
I still have the pictures I took from my first time using the local train station in my state to where my university is located. It was from one excitement to another for me as I went through the steps to book for a seat. The excitement was more for myself and many others because it was a new station and was a lot cheaper to board than using other vehicles aside airplane to our different locations.
The organization of going through the simple steps to board the train made it even more exciting. There was hardly never a queue whenever I went there but it was all that that got me even more exciting about my journey especially for my first time using the station. I met a really long queue but I felt so at ease when I heard the amount and the time they will take to get to my destination from the station.
Here is a shot of one of my train adventures where I met a really long queue.
They had both regular and VIP seats for bookings, since I'm not so rich, I would always book for the regular and trust me, it is just as comfortable. How did I know? I had a very sweet experience in one of my train travels... Some of the workers made a few of the regulars go sit in the VIP lounge and I was one of them.
Believe me, the difference wasn't much but very notable, it had less people in it, the air was fresher and there were a few soldiers guiding the lounge 😂 I felt like a politician's daughter until we got off the train.
And there was also a time I didn't pay for my ride, it turned out that I traveled on a day they had decided to ride every seat to their destination for free. I was really shocked because such luck rarely comes from the government to it's citizens but I guess they proved me wrong that day.
Here is an outer look of the train and it's station.
I can't find the shots I took when I'm inside the train but it had a really good indoor decors and arrangement, well spaced for a good number of passengers to feel comfortable in their journey. The train movement actually gave me the vibe of traveling by train but I know it isn't close to that experience and I'm yet to experience it to be sure.
A lot of changes has occurred with the train station since I graduated, not positively though but I hope to have more better memories of train movement if I get the chance. These are a few memories from the local train station in my state, I miss those days really.
