¿ Dónde trabajo ?
Les cuento que trabajo en un laboratorio clínico ubicado en la ciudad de Valencia, allí presto mis servicios hace aproximadamente 11 años, siii parece mentira y aunque me vea tan joven, trabajo allí desde los 19 años, anterior a ese trabajo también preste servicio en otro laboratorio, en si tengo 13 años graduada, una de las mejores estudiantes, que en mis pasantías con tan solo 17 años quede trabajo por mi gran desempeño, para mí parece que fue ayer. Siento que es mi segundo hogar, dónde he conocido a lo largo del tiempo, personas que se han ganado mi corazón, con las que he reído, llorado, gritado y compartido momentos inolvidables. Y una gran amiga que para mí es mi hermana de otra madre.

I feel that this is my second home, where I have met over time, people who have won my heart, with whom I have laughed, cried, shouted and shared unforgettable moments. And a great friend who for me is my sister from another mother.
¿Cuáles son mis funciones allí?
Permítanme compartir con ustedes un poco sobre mi rutina de trabajo por lo general mis guardias son de 12h continuas nocturnas. Mi labor se centra principalmente en realizar todo el proceso pre-analítico de las pruebas de laboratorio. ¿A qué me refiero con esto? Mi función va de la mano con la del bioanalista, su mano derecha por así decirlo.

Soy la encargada de tomar las muestras de sangre, realizar frotis para que el bioanalista pueda observar las células bajo el microscopio, separar las muestras de sangre para que sean introducidas en los equipos y se realicen diversas pruebas. También me encargo de reportar las características físicas en las muestras de orina y heces, así como de la facturación de los pacientes.

What are my functions there?
Let me share with you a little bit about my work routine, usually my shifts are 12h continuous night shifts. My work is mainly focused on performing all the pre-analytical process of the laboratory tests. What do I mean by this? My function goes hand in hand with that of the bioanalyst, his right hand so to speak.
I am in charge of taking blood samples, making smears so that the bioanalyst can observe the cells under the microscope, separating the blood samples so that they can be introduced into the equipment and various tests can be performed. I am also in charge of reporting physical characteristics in urine and stool samples, as well as patient billing.

Mi trabajo me ponga en contacto directo con el paciente, lo que a veces puede ser emocionalmente desafiante. Ver el dolor, la angustia y la tristeza en los ojos de los pacientes sensibiliza mi corazón. A veces, veo cómo la vida se va en cuestión de segundos, mi trabajo me ha hecho reflexionar muchísimo, en lo importante que es disfrutar cads instante de vida, con nuestros seres queridos, y agradece a dios por cada dia de vida que nos regala.
Este trabajo puede ser difícil a veces porque debes aprender a controlar tus sentimientos. Sin embargo, a pesar de los desafíos, es gratificante saber que estoy desempeñando un papel crucial en el cuidado de la salud de los pacientes. Cada día, me esfuerzo por hacer mi trabajo con la mayor precisión y cuidado posible. Porque cualquier error puede causar un mal diagnóstico para el paciente, me centro en dar el mejor de los tratos al paciente, pues me pongo en su zapatos y digo si yo estuviese alli lo menos que me querría es un mal trato.

My work puts me in direct contact with the patient, which can be emotionally challenging at times. Seeing the pain, anguish and sadness in patients' eyes makes my heart sensitive. Sometimes, I see how life is gone in a matter of seconds, my work has made me reflect a lot on how important it is to enjoy every moment of life, with our loved ones, and thank God for every day of life he gives us.
This job can be difficult at times because you must learn to control your feelings. However, despite the challenges, it is rewarding to know that I am playing a crucial role in the health care of patients. Every day, I strive to do my job as accurately and carefully as possible. Because any mistake can cause a bad diagnosis for the patient, I focus on giving the best treatment to the patient, because I put myself in their shoes and say if I were there the least I would want is a bad treatment.

Por lo general amanezco destruida jajaja como decimos aquí en Venezuela, esto es algo que el personal que trabaja de noche no puede evitar, no es fácil trabajar toda la noche, es un sueño que jamás se recupera. Pero bueno debo agradecer a Dios por qué salgo a trabajar y no a buscar trabajo...
