There's an indescribable beauty when the sun begins to dip below the western horizon, illuminating the sky with mesmerizing hues. And if there's a perfect spot to savor this wonder, it's at the peak of Mount Lorokan.
Sitting at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level, Mount Lorokan offers breathtaking views from the top. Yet, fret not, the journey to its peak isn't too strenuous. The trail leading to the top is gentle, and within 15 to 25 minutes, you can already reach the summit.
On a bright afternoon, I decided to explore the beauty of Mount Lorokan with three friends. We set out from the registration post around 4 p.m., ready to witness the magical moment when the sun hides behind the horizon.
Our journey to the peak wasn't just about reaching the destination but also about enjoying every step of the way. The fresh mountain air and stunning natural scenery made our journey even more enjoyable.
As we neared the peak, the sky began to change. Shades of orange and red enveloped the sky, signaling that the much-awaited moment was about to arrive. We soon found a comfortable spot atop a large rock at the summit to enjoy the view.
We unpacked our provisions: light snacks and a steaming cup of coffee. The combination of the coffee aroma and the delicious snacks made the atmosphere even warmer. We sat there, relishing the colorful splashes in the sky and chatting about life, dreams, and adventures.
As the sun dipped further, its light swept across the sky with an unforgettable beauty. Mountains in the distance appeared as dark silhouettes against the orange backdrop. Everything was so beautiful, so magical.
However, like all beautiful things, that moment had to come to an end. As the sky darkened, and night took over, we realized it was time to descend. With hearts full of the beauty we had just witnessed, we began our descent down the mountain, filled with gratitude.
The journey home wasn't the end of our adventure but merely the beginning of memories we would cherish forever. And although the sun had gone, its beauty remained in our hearts, reminding us of the extraordinary wonders of nature that we can find around us, as long as we're willing to seek them out.
