Today I wanted to walk around the city of Puerto Ordaz - Venezuela, especially in the Alta Vista sector that is close to where I live, and this city, apart from the development it has had with respect to the urban, I also consider it a green city, where there is a lot of natural life, among trees, flowers and other species, and how could it not be this way this city is surrounded by two large rivers and also a significant extension of natural parks, thus giving an infinity of life, and I can imagine on these streets that I have walked how it could have been hundreds of years ago, when everything was practically jungle.

Wherever I walk there are many trees and some species of exotic flowers, sometimes even some animals that are common in the area can come out, although due to the development of the city many of these animals were migrated to other places, or there were also programs to rescue species such as snakes, jaguars and other animals, where they were relocated to zoos or other natural environments. However, during these trips through the city you can also see many species of birds, as well as parrots and sometimes macaws.

As I show in these photographs, each place or space has its own interest to visit, I am not only talking about emblematic places in the area but practically on every corner there is some attraction, and in this case my focus was more on the natural, but with the contrast of the buildings of the city. How not to appreciate the large aluminum tree in contrast with the vegetation of its surroundings, or being able to walk between the Paseo Caroní avenue where there are certain forests of many trees, are points of reference of this city where there is much harmony with nature, because not everything in a city is about shopping centers, but also the way the city has an important preservation of its natural spaces.

And in this case, I see Puerto Ordaz as a green city, where there is also a lot of space to breathe a little, although the heat of this city can be very suffocating due to the high degree of humidity, due to its condition as a jungle and being geographically between rivers. So my walks, like the one today, tend to be very hot, but I enjoy doing these tours where I get to know more about this city where I live, as well as finding that infinity of images that one as a photographer likes to look for, between perspectives and shapes.

To all the people who might be interested in getting to know this city, I always recommend that they get to know it on foot, at least in the Alta Vista sector there are many places of great interest and they are close to each other, as well as being able to enjoy all the vegetation and landscape of the place, of a city that despite the country's problems still maintains its own natural beauty as well as its beauty as a city even with the decadence of certain places.

I did this tour in 2 hours, passing through different points of the city until I got to my house, and as I had said I focused on singing that contrast of the city with its own nature.

The architecture in the buildings in that first picture is pretty cool.

It's a shame about the development leading to animals being moved around though. Makes me question when and how all that rampant development in certain areas might actually end. When is it enough? Feels like it's only a matter of decades until such massive untouched natural areas are reduced to concrete.

Well it is true, although in this city many companies in the area had good plans for the rescue and conservation of animal life due to all the existing nature around the city, but little by little these projects were stopped or simply people are no longer motivated to continue in these plans.

Amazing visual finds, great composition ways...
