Hello to everyone in the Travelfeed community! Today I am joining this community for the first time, which is a pleasure for me to do through the following travel review: from Nevada to Arizona. A trip to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I will clarify that I have used images and videos that I was able to record from that experience (as well as my words), so I hope you enjoy both the video and the story behind this adventure. I would also like to say that in a previous post I talked about this trip, however, here I will tell you some things you didn't know and some not so popular details. Let's start with it.

In January of this year 2024, I was about to end my trip to Nevada. The place where my sister resides and who was part of several of my adventures in the country. My sister and I had been planning for several weeks the most important trip of us: to travel to the Grand Canyon. For this, we needed to have: enough fuel (we would be travelling in our own car), food and drinks, spare parts and tools, good clothing (it was winter and at that altitude we needed to be protected), cash and other things. Everything was going well until we got sick in December. It was a very bad flu and we lasted about two weeks with fever, cough and general malaise. This delayed the trip because several times when we thought we were better, we relapsed again.

When there were no more setbacks, we were finally able to start our journey. We got up very early that day, got ready, prepared the food and checked the car again. As it was still early, that same day my brother-in-law asked us to run an errand. We were a little late, but once we crossed the highway to Arizona, we were relieved. I was filming everything I could: the exit from Nevada, the entrance to Arizona, the mountains, the stops, and so on. As we neared the entrance to the Grand Canyon road, we noticed that there was snow. It had snowed and nature had left us with a surface full of white. I didn't know snow, so I went down to touch it for the first time. It was a very nice feeling, it was soft, smooth and pleasant. I had always wanted to know what it felt like and I had succeeded.

Later when we arrived at the parking area where you park and buy tickets to get into the Grand Canyon, we knew we were going to be cold as we were shivering. As best we could we got dressed, with several layers of clothes and big coats. We bought tickets to access the Skywalk, but it really wasn't as good as we thought it would be: very expensive, you can't take pictures (only buy photo packages from the licensed photographers there) and it's a restricted area because there is a rock formation that looks like an eagle. My sister and I felt we weren't seeing what we expected, so we went to ask one of the workers there and she explained everything to us: there are three important points; the Skywalk, the Guano and the Hualapai Reserve. The second is where you can actually access the rock formation without any limitations.

With that in mind, my sister and I took the bus (which works to shuttle tourists to all points), to Guano. There we finally got to see the Grand Canyon in all its splendour. We walked a lot, with the idea of seeing as much of it as we could. It was very beautiful, immense and almost as if you felt like you were in a movie. My sister and I sat down on a rock to rest and contemplate everything. It had taken us a long time to get here and we never thought in our lives that we would be there, on a plateau in the Grand Canyon, together. It was moving and awe-inspiring. So I jokingly told my sister that we should end the night watching Thelma&Louise, a classic that motivated me to get to know this place. Finally my friends, this has been my experience. Without further ado, I leave you with the video. Best regards.
