A pleasant weekend, amazing people!

Today feels like a breath of fresh air compared to the past few days of battling the flu. This morning kicked off with a special mission: accompanying my daughter to school to pick up her eagerly awaited report card for the recent school year. With the important task ticked off our list, we found ourselves in need of a peaceful and laid-back lunch spot to unwind. As fate would have it, a Facebook post caught my eye, showcasing a newly opened gem called Hiraya Farm Resort. Located just a short distance from our home, this hidden oasis beckoned us with promises of tranquility and nature's embrace. This farm resort is a haven situated in the heart of our town, offering not just cozy cottages and a charming restaurant, but also a picturesque setting surrounded by sprawling farmland and cheerful farm animals. Perched atop a hill, the resort provides a stunning panoramic view that instantly captivates the soul. The allure of being immersed in the beauty of nature was irresistible to me, and I knew we had to experience it firsthand. Without hesitation, we hailed a trike and embarked on a short journey that lasted no more than 15 minutes. The anticipation grew with each passing moment as we approached our destination, eager to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and bask in the serenity that awaited us at Hiraya Farm Resort.

Get ready for the juicy details, my friends! So, aside from the drool-worthy cabins, mouthwatering food, Instagram-worthy plants, and Pinterest-perfect decor that I'm saving for future blog posts, let me take you on a wild ride to the other side of the resort. Right below the cozy restaurant, there's a whole new world waiting to be explored. Imagine frolicking in sunflower fields, marveling at the veggies such as tomatoes, chili peppers, lady fingers, eggplants and man more, growing in the garden, and giggling at the sight of cute scarecrows strutting their stuff like they're the coolest farmers in town.

(Sunflower Fields)
As I mentioned earlier, just right below the restaurant and the resort's view deck lies a little slice of sunshine in the form of blooming sunflowers. Now, here's the kicker - in the midst of the rainy season here in the Philippines, I was pleasantly surprised to find these golden beauties still in full bloom. When I stumbled upon the Facebook ad showcasing the sunflower fields, I knew I had to see it with my own eyes. Despite the unpredictable weather, luck was on our side as the rain held off just for us. Even in the blazing midday sun, the sight of those vibrant sunflowers standing tall was a sight to behold. It may have been an unexpected find, but was it worth every moment spent basking in the glow of those sunny blooms.

(The Cute Scarecrows)
Besides the sunflower fields, there's a charming vegetable garden that sadly slipped through the cracks in my camera lens. But wait, the real stars of the show are the adorable scarecrows lurking behind the sunflowers and veggies, dressed to impress like they just stepped off a fashion runway. When I caught sight of these quirky characters, I couldn't resist nudging my daughter and saying, "Hey, let's take some photos with these cool scarecrows!" Despite the scorching heat making us sweat buckets and squint like we're in a staring contest with the sun, we managed to strike a pose with our new farmer friends. Trust me, these scarecrows are not your average garden variety; they're downright hilarious and entertaining. I'm willing to bet even the boldest villains would think twice about messing with these guardians of the flowers and veggies lol. It's like the resort's own superhero squad, adding a dash of whimsy and protection to the whole place.

So yeah, this unique touch sets it apart from the cookie-cutter resorts out there, blending farm life, fun, and relaxation into one perfect package. It's a quirky paradise that's got me hooked, and I can't wait to share more about this hidden gem with you all!

Thank you for joining me tonight, my frinds. Until our next adventure. Happy weekend!
