We should not offer ourselves as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin. We should offer ourselves as instruments of righteousness.
Romans 6:13 (KJV) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
When we are indulging in sinful practices, we are offering ourselves as instruments of unrighteousness. When we patronize those selling prohibited drugs, cigarettes and liquor we are offering ourselves as instruments of unrighteousness. When we assist in falsifying documents in our offices we are instruments of unrighteousness. When we gossip about we are instruments of unrighteousness. The Bible warns us not to offer ourselves as instruments of unrighteousness.
But when we do what is right in the sight of God, we are offering ourselves as instruments of righteousness. When we extend helping hands to those in need, we are offering ourselves as instruments of righteousness. When we forgive a person we are instruments of righteousness. When we take care of our families, we are instruments of righteousness. When we introduce our friends to the true religion, we are offering ourselves as instruments of righteousness. Let us offer ourselves as instruments of righteousness.
