Thanks be to god for the awesome teachings in the mass indoctrination service through our beloved Brother Eli in his teaching on Friday he emphasized on the the important of prayer and taught on what part of our body should we submit to god for our prayers to be answered we took our first reading from the book of 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 the bible said the husband and wife doesn't have their body to themselves the body of the husband belongs to the wife like wise the body of a wife belongs to her husband so they should not denial each other their body either for sex or pleasure except when the both have agreed on the matter to abstain from each other for the reason of fasting and prayer and the bible say it shouldn't be long least another of them fall into temptation let husband and wife understand now that they are one flesh in Christ and wife submit to your husband as the church submit to him let the desire of the wife be to the husband and also the husband should love his wife as Christ has loved the church and his desire also should be to the wife that is one of the commandment God gave in marriage Ephesians 5:23
Brother Eli taught also when fasting should be done from Isaiah 58:6-8 the bible told us the kind of fast that is acceptable unto the one he has desired every child of god to engage in which while we fast we should loose the bonds if wickedness to let the oppressed go free and also undo the heavy burden here we understand that when we fast we should free everyone that has been indebted to us forgive their evil actions against us even people owing us we should clear off their debt and not consider it again also when we fast we should give our bread to the hungry feed the needy amongst us provide clothing and even shelter to the less privileged around us that is the fast God expect from us and also when we are fasting we should not be going around announcing our fast like the hypocrite do our prayers should be in secret so our father who sees in secret will reward is openly
Also in Matthew 6:12 while we fast we should forgive everyone that's has offended us so that our own sin can be forgiven us and our prayers can be answered if we don't forgive others their sin our heavenly father will not forgive us our either also we should consecration our heart unto God and not allow the things of the world to lure us into defiling our own body flee from every lust of the flesh Mathew 5:28 let us clear our mind from every evil thought that might make our fasting not to be effective
As we continue to put every doctrine of Christ to work I see God blessing each and everyone of us
