John 8:31 (KJV) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

A disciple is one who follows the instructions or teachings he or she has received from his or her master. Being a disciple is much deeper than just listening to Jesus Christ or knowing about his doctrines. There are many people who claim to be disciples but do not actually follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ, Himself said that it is not all those who called Him Lord, Lord that will enter into His kingdom. But rather He said that it is those who do the will of His Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 7:21 (KJV) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

In this video, Bro Eli Soriano explained to us what is the truth. We can not claim to be true disciples of Jesus Christ when we are not those who follow His commandments. The Bible says in the book of James that those who are hearers only are deceivers of themselves.

James 1:22 (KJV) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

The cost of being a true disciple of Jesus Christ is to listen to His doctrines and follow the same. So, if we desire to be the true disciples, let us accept the doctrines and obey them.
