Handling Disrespect

in Cross Culture3 months ago

In the true human Sense When we feels that someone has been disrespected us, it is human nature that we would retaliate through anger, we end up fighting , destroying things or doing worse things. But when it comes to responding to disrespect, the best action on cane take to be on a safe side at that particular moment is been quite. often the best response. Rather that causing a worse off scene it is best to avoid getting close to the situation and the person who takes the right of disrespecting others.

By doing this, you get out of a toxic interaction, and prove your worth by not tolerating such behavior. Distance may help you to think objectively because you cannot becloud your mind with any form of emotions.

distance also has a strong message to the person disrespecting you. This way it can demonstrate to the person that they are wrong and you won’t allow such kind of behavior. You don't need to talk to much or get into a fight to prove a point simple silence can hurt someone that a fight. This simple action is very simple but powerful, it may alter their behaviour sometimes, or if not, it can at least save one’s mental health in a single way or the other. You don't know what you are capable of doing until you are angry and pushed to the last limit you can't tolerate anymore only then you can be sure if what you can do and what you can't.

So knowing this, what I will say as the best approach to treat is disrespect is to simply avoid it. distancing oneself from an act of aggression, is saying no, proving one’s value, safeguarding one’s mental health and demonstrating silence and distance to the offending person that his/her behaviour is the best. Just know that it is perfectly okay to disengage from disrespect don’t have to tolerate disrespect from anyone.
