On a personal note
Today, as every Monday, I had my office day. Always breaks up my routine.😒
Usually I get up at 2:30am and start work at 4am. Monday is different. I get into the office between 8am and 9am. Depending on the workload I get out either at 2pm or (as was the case for today) at 5:30pm. That leaves no time for anything else but family before I go to bed early to get back on track with my biorhythm. This week howevery is different.
I got my day off tomorrow. 😄
I usually work on Saturdays and my day off varies from week to week. And on Wednesday I got an important meeting in the afternoon so I am scheduled to start at 7:30am and then ease back in to my regular schedule on 4am on Thursday.
Why am I telling you all that? Mainly because I want to ramble on a little bit 😜 and on a side note it explains why there are days when I'm pretty active while I seem inactive on other days. 😏
Get on with it
With tomorrow being my day off I can sleep in.😜
Don't have to adjust my schedule yet because on Wednesday I don't have to get up too early.
Making use of the time I finally moved the new tip bot code from @hug.bot to @sloth.buzz today. 😊
I developed hug.bot as a test case. The token has only sentimental/symbolic meaning and it's not tied to any other projects or community value. If something goes wrong the damage is manageable.
Hug.bot has been running the new code for a week now and I want to add some bells and whistles to the new mechanics in the near future so it was about time to bring up sloth.buzz to the next level as well.
New features
In case you missed the hug.bot update, here's a list of all the new features.
Daily collection post to collect all the comments and get rid of them in the conversation of the tipped post. This is the most important move and was inspired by the pimp project and them doing this with their curation bot before us. Bells and whistles for the daily posting will be statistical data on the token and the tip calls. What information would you like to see there? 👀
Remove the mentions/tagging when replying STOP to the bot posting. Some people don't want to get bothered by the bot. 😟 We still want to allow for them to be tipped and the comment will still appear, there will just be no tagging and their notification won't light up. 🙃
Vote one the post. Someone tips a SLOTHBUZZ so there must be value in the content. After all it's a curation bot. For now the vote is fixed at 50% and as one of the bells and whistles we want to make that value "more fluid". How about the SLOTHBUZZ stake of the tipper or tippee influencing the vote weight? We'd love to read your thoughts on that one. 🤔
What next?
Further development will go on with the code connected to hug.bot first before we move it to sloth.buzz. While the main reason is for me to have a testing area it also enforces a coding style to allow for configuration rather than static coding. The bells and whistles mentioned above will find their way into hug.bot and eventually into sloth.buzz. 🤖
We would love to read your thoughts for both of them although this posting is mainly about sloth.buzz any hug.bot input is appreciated as well :-)
