Let's get right to the point! Here is my entry into the Reflection Hunters Contest. You can read about the 152nd edition here
This winter, it has been a wonderland of lights and a little early winter rain made for a pretty cool shot of one of the interactive art exhibits.
The Dandelion
By daylight, it is pretty neat looking, perched right in the middle of town square in the courtyard behind City Hall. The rain turned to snow as the January finally arrived but you can still see the neat lights.
At night, it is a different story with bright flashing lights and ambient style music.
You can walk in to be immersed by the lights and sound. There are interactive touch pads that mix in a sample of music that builds with the rest of the sounds to make a cool song that is different every time with the input of the people.
So many cool angles to photograph this neat spectacle from. The hazy night won't stop people from coming down to visit as the tower stands guard. I love hot the top is illuminated and you can see the flag.
The Island
The dandelion is not the only exhibit. Returning from past years is the solar system display. A couple years ago, they hosted a silent disco among these cool orbs.
This year, they added another attraction called Lunar Lamp Posts.fairly simple in design but walking among them takes you to the stars with the hazy neon. There are also interactive sensors for you to influence the music like the dandelion. The kids are just having a blast.
No reflections here but I wanted to shoot a bit of a mood shot with all the black light and spooky ambiance.
Love My Reflection
Not very wintery in this shot but fun just the same with the gathered rain and the human shadows.
