Hello, friends!
Frosty winter weather in Siberia is not conducive to reflection hunting. Therefore, for the photo contest Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 151 by @olgavita I decided to turn to my photo archive.
Last May I visited my son in Kaliningrad. Kaliningrad, in my opinion, is the most ideal city for hunting for reflections. There are many ponds in the park areas of Kaliningrad. And the clearest reflections are obtained in the mirror-like surface of standing water in ponds. In addition, in Kaliningrad, on the banks of reservoirs, there are many medieval buildings that are very beautifully reflected in the water.
On Saturdays, in the Chestnut Park area, a “flea market” is organized, where traders offer all sorts of different items, mostly historical. Getting acquainted with the assortment of this market and looking at all sorts of interesting things, like a gramophone from the early twentieth century, I went down to the bank of the park stream.
On the opposite bank of the stream there is a Balkan restaurant “Balcony”, and the bank itself is an old fortress wall.
The water surface of the park stream, no worse than a mirror, reflects the old wall, the young trees trying to gain a foothold on it, and the restaurant located above the wall. Seeing this picture, I remembered about the Reflection Hunters Contest and took a few photos.
In the stream itself, water lilies beginning to bloom are also reflected in the water mirror. But there are still few water lilies, only isolated plants and their reflections.
