HOUSES ON THE WATER

in Shadow Hunters7 months ago

Hello! Happy day to all of you. After a long period of drought, the first rains of this year are starting to come. For children it is fun to jump in the puddles, and throw paper boats in the large ponds that form in the alleys of the town, I did it when I was a child, but times change, and now my fun is different, and since some time ago I have been enjoying the passion that comes from going out to capture interesting photographs, I can say that yesterday I also had a good hunt for shadows, or in this case, reflections.

I like to see the reflection of images as inverse mirrors, it is impressive what can be projected. Unlike the shadow, which offers us shapes that we have to intuit who or what they correspond to, the reflections provide a more accurate image to those who visualize it, but sometimes it leads us to fix our eyes well to understand what we are looking through them.

On my walk after a rainy day, with a very fresh and clear afternoon, I saw rivers of crystalline water running through the streets of the town, and it gave me the opportunity to stop in front of the immense lagoons that had formed to observe little by little the clear and perfect image that was reflected in each one.

Like a mirror, but upside down, I saw in front of my eyes, long fences, roofs, and trees of some houses, it was impressive the perfection of the image with its exact shapes and colors.

Later I found a contrast of reflections when I captured the before and after of a vehicle entering the lagoon where the reflection of some farms could be seen.

In the first image, you could see the calm, well appreciated reflection of the shapes projected in the water.

After passing the vehicle, the waves of the water played with the reflection and gave us distorted but very attractive forms of the same projected image.

It could be said that apart from being able to achieve a reflection hunt, I enjoyed seeing the different shapes that were projected on that surface.
