Hello architecture and design community, delighted to greet you and wish you a happy and prosperous year and that every desire of your heart has come true, on this occasion I share with you my visit to Juncal Street, in the city of Cumana, the Firstborn of the American Continent. This street is located very close to the State Government and near the Plaza Bolivar which are reference points in the city. It is also very close to the Santa Inés church, where the commemoration of the 508th anniversary of the founding of the city is regularly held, which I attended to see the ceremonial act of such a majestic day of festivity in the town.

this street is usually very narrow and it is a cross street but it stands out for its colorful houses of colonial design in one corner is located a yellow house of a very striking color with black windows the windows are wide and have wood and iron and glass in these houses are the headquarters of government institutions the design of these houses is very striking as well as its color next to the yellow house is a very striking blue house with a very different design from the previous one the characteristics of these houses is that their designs are unique.

It is noteworthy that I have rarely seen that the designs are repeated, each building maintains a unique pattern, what they do have in common are the large windows, the high doors (for the entry of horses) and that are glued one to the other, that is, a wall communicates with another wall, is part of two houses. This street is very busy as it leads to one of the most famous squares in the town (Bolivar) and to the headquarters of the government of Sucre, which, by the way, also stands out for its colonial design and large windows. Each space of the city of Cumana or in this case, the historic center offers great elements that allow the visitor to know part of what was the colonial architecture in Cumana.

As I have mentioned in other publications, Cumana is known as the first-born of the American continent, the first city founded by the Spaniards on the mainland, hence most of its buildings located in the center of the city correspond to this design of the colonial era. The state of Sucre has institutions that are in charge of preserving and maintaining in time these constructions that are a testimony of the colonial past of the city and the incidence of the Spanish dominion in the Venezuelan territory. Every time I walk through these streets my mind goes back to a few years of history that were told by our ancestors. It is an ideal place to get to know and contemplate the beauty in each brushstroke of colors in their houses. The variety of colors in each building makes you disconnect from the real world and just let your imagination fly.

God bless you! See you on the next tour.

It's so so beautiful thankyou for sharing.

Hi, thanks to you my friend for visiting and commenting. The houses in that area of the city are joined by a wall and are separated by the striking color of their walls.

Wow, i confused see this house. I thought it's divided by part but not in reality.

They are different houses but united by a wall, where the color of the other house changes.
