Hello architecture and design community, delighted to greet you and wish you a happy and prosperous year and that every desire of your heart has come true, on this occasion I share with you my visit to Juncal Street, in the city of Cumana, the Firstborn of the American Continent. This street is located very close to the State Government and near the Plaza Bolivar which are reference points in the city. It is also very close to the Santa Inés church, where the commemoration of the 508th anniversary of the founding of the city is regularly held, which I attended to see the ceremonial act of such a majestic day of festivity in the town.
It is noteworthy that I have rarely seen that the designs are repeated, each building maintains a unique pattern, what they do have in common are the large windows, the high doors (for the entry of horses) and that are glued one to the other, that is, a wall communicates with another wall, is part of two houses. This street is very busy as it leads to one of the most famous squares in the town (Bolivar) and to the headquarters of the government of Sucre, which, by the way, also stands out for its colonial design and large windows. Each space of the city of Cumana or in this case, the historic center offers great elements that allow the visitor to know part of what was the colonial architecture in Cumana.
God bless you! See you on the next tour.
