One thing about life and we human in it is that of imperfection. This means that no one is perfect and as a result of this, we are all only working to perfection. There's no person on earth that's perfect and this is the reason we human still have lapses and step on others toes. Even those twins born on the same day have different characters that make them different from each other and not only that, make them imperfect.

So, in view of the imperfection that exists in the world or in the life of every human and like I said earlier, that we are all working towards perfection, I have personally realized within myself, some certain things I should work on so as to reach that level of perfection I so much desired. I have to bring out the perfection from my imperfection. As we all know that working towards perfection is not a day work but a continuous process, I have personally been working towards perfecting my way to precrastination. This precrastination is the opposite of procrastination. Procrastination is the one thing I have planned to change about myself, this is because, this procrastination character in me has caused me more harm than good. So, in this my new year resolution and even the previous ones, I have always wanted to work my way into total perfection when it comes with dealing with procrastination, but seriously, in the past years I have not been that resolute about my resolution on procrastination.

But, in the late last year, while planning to round up with my last year activities, and plan for the year to come, which is the year 2025, one major thing on my to do resolution list was to fight against the cankerworm of my life which is procrastination. Like I said earlier, procrastination has eaten deep into me and has led me to where I am today, I would have walked past my current position if procrastination has been dealt with by me a long time ago, but one thing that's certain is that, it's better late than never. What this means to me is that, it's still better for me fighting procrastination now, even when it seems late than never fighting it at all.

One of those ways in which procrastination has really affected and dealt with me in the past years was in my business. Sometimes around June last year, I was being called by one of my customers who happened to be a contractor and as the nature of my business, which is supplying of building materials, this man called me to asked for the prices of those materials needed for the new project he was handling. So when he called, I promised to get back to him later by sending in the quotation of everything needed by him, so, I postponed what I was supposed to do or give him on the spot. So, a day passed without me getting across to the man. So, on the third day, I sent the quotation of the prices to the man and afterwards, I called to notify him of the message sent to him, when I called the man, he response was that I should not worry anymore as they have given the contract or supply to another person, this loss pained me to the marrow as there's nothing I could do to change the situation. The contract was worth millions of naira, but I lost it due to procrastination. What a loss? Last weekend I passed through the site and I realized that the project is still ongoing with heaps of granite and stone dust on ground. It's very painful.

So, procrastination is the greatest enemy of time and success, so as we all know that time flies and that procrastination is it greatest enemy, we must also work against it and fight it to the last. Time is money, we should always spend it wisely and the only thing that can stop us from spending the time currency wisely is procrastination, so, let's avoid it.

So, since then, I have made it a point of necessity to fight against procrastination, so as to avoid a repeat of what happened to me the last time out. Though, it's not that easy just because it's has been part of me for a very long time, and I can say that I'm addicted to postponing things. But one thing that's giving me joy is that I'm ready winning the battle against procrastination and changing it with precrastination which is a good plus to me. So, people should expect good change from me. Thank God change is constant and anyone can change anytime. So, I'm adopting and embracing this positive change from procrastination to precrastination.

This is my entry to hivereachout weekly prompt.

Thanks for reading.

We must all be in the fight against procrastination. Thank you sir.

Weldone sir

The thief of time, procrastination, must be eliminated in everyone's life for growth to set in

Yes

Procrastination slowly kills a man's dreams. If possible one should get an accountability partner to help one fight procrastination.
Also this is my first time hearing 'precrastination'.
Well done, sir.

You are welcome boss

Change is a gradual process but consistency speeds it. Procrastination is an enemy indeed, it's one of the things almost everyone battles with. I think one of the easiest ways to fight it is by doing a task as soon as it arrives. Don't wait even for another second because you may be tempted to postpone it.
