It is my pleasure to be a part of this community, I came to discover it while I was exploring the platform.
So for this week theme, Charity Begins At Home I will share with you a little token of love I gave to my sister's children and it brought joy and happiness to them.
Just like the theme says, charity should always start from home, you can't be nice and generous to others when the people around you haven't felt your generosity. I've been on the hive blockchain for sometime now and it has become a home for me. I like to tell people about the benefits of hive and of the ways I do that is by branding t-shirts, wearing them and giving some out as a gift.
So on this fateful day, it was 27th May which is celebrated as Children's Day in my country. I was actually wondering about a perfect gift that will have a brand of hive on it and be useful to them, then the idea of using the holozing monsters came into my mind. For some of us who are game lovers we might have come across the holozing community and their creative monsters. So I went ahead to do an exercise book with the monsters on it. Children are attracted to pictures and things that have cartoon nature.
Drawing my inspiration from this amazing community, I decided to craft my personal exercise books using the new evolved holozing monster that looks so charming. As a strong supporter of the holozing community I just knew that incorporating these playful creatures into the gift would add a touch of magic, joy and happiness to my siblings day.
I immediately used the Canva app in my PC to create the design and template of what the exercise would look like, yeah, when I realize have to spend some money in asking someone to do the design cause it, I knew I could do it myself if only I give myself the time, I have a little knowledge about graphics so I just took out some time and I finally got the time to do the designs just using my PC, this was what it turns out to be. I got the raw exercise books from the bookshop and bound the cover page to the book and here is what I got.
When my siblings came back from school I presented the books to them. They were so excited.I could see their eyes light up in amazement.Just at that moment I knew that the gift was more than just a book, it was a perfect gift to express myself and connect with them more.
As we continue on this journey called life, let's be mindful to always express our love even in little things, they brings laughter, and connection that builds our lives and strengthens our bonds. Whether it's through a simple gesture or a heartfelt gift like what I just did to my sister children, or something more than this, let us celebrate the beauty of love in all its forms, knowing fully well that the greatest gift of all is the love we share with one another and nothing in this world beats that.
