Yes indeed! That's how it is around Flagstaff and Prescott. They are gorgeous areas. Also, for the sheer beauty of the area, you should visit Sedona. My mom and brother live in Arizona, in Clarkdale and Scottsdale. Yes, the deserts only get cold at night in winter, whereas in the mountains there are feet of snow! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Okay... Sounds pretty lovely actually :-D
From what I heard from my boy, there is an incredibly vast amount of open space (so... nature) in the states. Something that is totally unbelievable for us here, especially in Belgium, and especially in Flanders. Here in the (very rural!!!) area, I can't walk (walk! not ride a bike, drive a car, walk!) for 30 minutes without seeing at least 5 houses.
If you go to the southern part of the country, the French speaking part, it's different, but still, you wouldn't be able to walk for 1, maybe 2 hours without passing by a village.
If you then try to image walking for days without seeing a single soul, let alone a house... boy...

Yes, it is certainly that! Yes, that's true, the States has huge tracts of wildlands, though it does depend on where you are. Yeah, Europe has been densely populated for a good long time, so there aren't many areas with large, unbroken areas of wilderness. Experiencing that may change your life! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I think it certainly can... Already noticed that from my son, who went to Montana, he was impressed about the large areas of nature. And he's missing it like hell since he's back...

See, exactly that! Once you experience greater dimensions of what's possible, and this holds true in any area, it's very difficult to go back to the former more restrictive state. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
