My busy day

in Daily Blogyesterday

Good evening hive family, everyday has always been full of activities for me this week but today, being the 13th day in the month of November was full of event since I rose from bed as early as 5am. I woke up as usual, took my bath and dressed up for school as a professional teacher walking through the morning rushing hour when everyone is rushing to his or her working place was a big thing for me.
In the city of Ibadan, the sun rises as early as possible this Wednesday morning and after I dressed up for work, I set out with my bag clung to my back and my earpiece fastened to my ear. This has always been my habit every morning going to school, atimes I may not even listen to music but to sport news on different radio channels which has always been my early morning tonic.

So, walking through the streets In my area, I saw people fighting for spaces in small taxis at various bus stops, but due to this busy and rushing hour of the day, I decided to walk my way down to my school which is not that far from my house, it's about 30 minutes walk from my place. So, with my phone and earphones with me as my companion , I trekked to my place of work, but a little bit late
On getting to school, i went straight to sign at 7:40am, while the daily assembly was already on and today being Wednesday, the assembly and all other activities were used to be conducted in our local language which is yoruba language. Although I was supposed to conduct the assembly activities today because I was on duty but I was unable to get it conducted due to my lateness and lack of interest in conducting it majorly on Wednesday because I'm not that fluent speaking yoruba language while at school, maybe becauseof me being an English language teacher. For this reason, I find it difficult conducting assembly activities in Yoruba language.

After, the assembly, the student marched to their various classes through their usual procession, getting ready for the day's work which will start as soon as they get settled down in their various classes. Although, today was not really meant for academic activities in my school due to our preparation for our forth coming inter house sport competition, but the school management decided to use the first three periods of today for academic activities and the rest for the heat in preparation for the forthcoming inter house competition. Fortunately , I have three classes for the three periods, maybe because of my subject which English language. So, when others were enjoying and not doing anything, I was already in class impacting knowledge.

So, immediately after the the third period, the inter-house sport heat started with different houses gathering together on the central field not even minding the scorching sun that is beating very sharp. As a house master, I was readily on ground putting the student through. Although, the sun was harsh, we all enjoyed ourselves. It's during the heat that most of the students left for their various homes which signaled the end of the day's work and we all left for our various home tired.
On my way home under the scorching sun, I got to the bus stop and the crowd were too much, so I decided like I did in the morning and walked myself home and on getting home tired, I went straight to the bathroom took shower, ate my already prepared food and took a rest. I'm just waking up right now. What a stressful day?
